Family members of Gboleru Ruling House in Ikirun, Ifelodun local government area of Osun State are currently on the streets of the ancient town to protest the alleged jumping of their House in the selection of the New Akirun of Ikirun.
Reports filtered in yesterday that Prince Olalekan Akadiri of Oba-Ara ruling House has been chosen as the Akirun-elect.
Family led by the Magaji of Gboleru House, Prince Mudashiru Olatunji, on Sunday stormed the streets to pretest the development.
Armed with placards with different inscriptions, the protesters called on the State Government to come to their aid in order to avoid what they termed “cheating”.
The protesters blocked the popular Oja Oba roundabout, causing traffic jam for several minutes.
