The Executives were inaugurated on Saturday at a programme held at the Palace of Elerin of Erin-Osun, Oba Yusuff Omoloye Oyagbadun.

It was gathered that Executives were those who were unopposed during the aborted election on December 27. They all obtained forms for their positions. The post of the Youth Leader, which was the only contesting position and said to be the cause of the crisis has been stepped down.

Speaking shortly before the presentation of the Executives, the Secretary of the BoT, Alhaji Seriki tasked the new Union leaders to bring an end to the crisis bedeviling the Federation of Erin-Osun Students Association (FESA). He added that the EXCOS can now appoint a credible person to serve as the youth leader.

In acceptance speech, the new President, Mr Kayode Olawale assured every son and daughter of Erin-Osun of his readiness to take the leadership of the town from where Alao stopped, to an enviable height.

Olawale said, “Serving my community has always been a joy and a privilege that I am grateful for every single day. I wouldn’t have been able to do it if it weren’t for all the amazing people in this great community.

“There is nothing more important to me than striving to be a “good human being.” So to be here today and be acknowledged as to receive the endorsement of all and sundry is beyond expressing in words for me.

“I am a human being, nothing human is allen to me” stated by Tenence in 1548C. And when I first read it many years ago, I heard no idea of the depth of that meaning. I have a father who cherished his town so much and relayed very well with his people. And I would often say to my father, Baba why can’t we just have regular people around us whenever we come home. And my father said to me “they are regular people, they are just like us, they want the same thing we want, especially a secured future that I want for you.” This was the ringing tone in my ears since then.”
