Shortly after meeting with Governor Gboyega Oyetola at the Oke-Fia Government House, members of the National Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress have held a meeting with the leaders of The Osun Progressives (TOP), a caucus of the ruling part.
The Osun Progressives is the group loyal to former Governor and Interior Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
It was gathered that the meeting was held at AENON Hotels and Suites in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Sources familiar with the meeting told InsightMedia that the group expressed its grievances to the committee as the committee pledged fairness.
InsightMedia had earlier reported that the committee led by the former Governor of Nasarawa State, Sen. Abdulahi Adamu arrived Osogbo on Saturday as part of its work to reconcile all the aggrieved members of the party.
At the meeting were the members of the Reconcilation Committee including former Deputy Governors of Lagos and Oyo States, Mrs Idiat Adebule and Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo among others.
Former Speaker of the State of Osun House of Assembly, Hon. Najeem Salaam, Chairman, Reverend Adelowo Adebiyi, former cabinet members in the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Messrs Adelani Baderinwa, Gbenga Akano, Biyi Odunlade, Barrister Kolapo Alimi among were also present at the meeting.
