Indigenes of Ido-Osun under the aegis of Ido-Osun Youth Forum has asked the Founder of The Great Tabernacle Miracle Church, Prophet Adeyemi Adeniran to immediate vacate his church from the town.
The youths made this demand in a letter written by the forum on Tuesday, a copy of which was obtained by InsightMedia in Osogbo.
The letter, which was signed by the forum’s chairman and secretary, Prince Adeyeye Abass and Mr Akano Kamorudeen respecting, described the site where the church is as a heritage site.
The letter partly read, “On behalf of the Youths and entire indigenes of Ido-Osun kingdom, the above named Organization write to testify you of your occupation of one of Ido-Osun heritage site popularly known as Oke-Obalufon located behind your church at Igbo-Obaluton, Iyalupo River, Aga Area, Ido-Osun.
“Without mincing words, Oke-Obalufon is a heritage site of all sons and daughters of Ido-Osun kingdom and cannot be annexed by an individual as this is our sacred sites. As such, we demand that you quit this area (Obalufon Hills) with immediate effect from this date 1st of February, 2022. Further stay or occupation of this said Hills will be considered as transgression which we’ll not accommodate politely.
“Your prompt cooperation will be highly appreciated.”
Prophet Adeniran was charged for alleged sexual molestation involving young girls by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Person (NAPTIP). He was on Monday granted bail of of N5M with two sureties in likely sum. His church’s certificate was also confiscated by the federal high court sitting in Osogbo.
