Nigeria’s Super Eagles this Tuesday evening, March 29, 2022, failed in their bid to pick one of the tickets for the Qatar 2022 World Cup after failing to beat visiting Black Stars of Ghana.

The Ghanaians, who were forced to a barren draw last Friday in their backyard, stunned the capacity crowd at the 60,000-seater Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, with an early goal by skipper Thomas Partey.

Hope rose anew when his opposite number William Troost-Ekong equalized from the penalty spot but the visitors soaked up every pressure till the end of the match.

With the away goal rule in place, Ghana picked the sole ticket in the group as their goal counted for two.
