An aspirant for the position of House of Representatives seat, Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan federal constituency, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Ibrahim Oyekunle has debunked rumour that he has stepped down from the race.
Oyekunle, in a statement on Friday described the social media reports as a “blatant lie”, stating that he remains in the race.
The Aspirant also revealed that he has on Thursday, procured the nomination and expression of interest forms.
“All Progressive Congress is known for freedom and transparency.
And I want to state it categorically that no meeting was held where consensus or anointed aspirant is picked.” Oyekunle said.
“I Alhaji Ibraheem Oyekunle is determined to pursue this course to Victory. The time to move Irewole Ayedaade Isokan Federal Constituency forward is now.
I remain undeterred nor discouraged. I will continue to push the interest of this Constituency to bring dividend of democracy to our great people,we believe that democracy isn’t a thought rather it is an act.
“I am glad to inform the good people of Irewole Ayedaade Isokan Federal Constituency that I obtain the expression and nomination form of our party yesterday.
I will continue to consult Party leaders, members and delegates who will determine the fate of our party at the election.
“I am still very much in the contest for betterment and robust representation towards facilitating the dividend of democracy to our highly revered constituency.”
