The remains of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, will be buried at 4pm today (Saturday) according to Islamic rites, Palace has announced.
The Head of Oyo Mesi, who is the Prime Minister of Oyo Kingdom, High Chief Yusuf Ayoola, said this while addressing journalists at the palace.
The Oyo prime minister said, “We have called the Imam. Baba will be buried today around 4pm.”
He confirmed that Oba Adeyemi died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti on Friday night.
Ayoola added that all the traditional rites have been performed on the body of the late monarch.
