As race to the ticket of the All Progressives Congress for the Irepodun, Olorunda, Orolu, Osogbo Federal Constituency gets thickens, Hon. Lukman Ola Akindeji, popularly known as Suncity has officially joined the race.
Akindeji made his declaration to represent the constituency at the Green chamber known on Friday at a gathering of APC leaders and faithful in Ilobu, Irepodun local government area of the State.
According to him, it’s youth o’clock at the constituency as he believes a younger person should be given ticket to represent the “good people of Osogbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives”.
Rolling out his pact with the people, Akindeji said he is aware of the challenges facing each and every community that make up the constituency and he’s ready to bring about a lasting solution to the issues.
He said, “Today marks the beginning of a new era as I declare my intention to run and to represent you all at the green chamber as your House of Representatives member in Abuja. It is indeed a beginning of a new era because their would be a radical departure from the way we being represented in the years past.
“Ours would be of quality representation of our people in all fronts without a disconnect from the people I shall be representing. If given opportunity to serve you which I will carry out diligently and meticulously; I shall use my position as a member to push for laws that would serve the interest of the people at large.
“I will also push for possible developmental programs that would affect my constituents positively and also initiate programs through collaboration with international organizations, Ministries, Departments, Agencies and all other well meaning Nigerians to bring about development in our constituency, reduce unemployment among our youths and also increase participation in various intervention programs that would raise the bar of the standard of living of our people.”
He called on people of the State to continue supporting Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, calling on electorates in Osogbo Federal Constituency to reelect the Governor.
