The Federal Government of Nigeria has been called upon to allow the country be restructured in “the most representative way.”
The Centre For Sustained Dialogue (CSD) made this assertion in a communique issued by its director, Hakeem Omotosho after one-day active citizen hangout organized to celebrate the birthday of Comrade Waheed Saka, tagged ‘Youth Involvement In Politics’.
According to the Centre, uproar of the Nigerian populace may be prolonged if practical solutions are not sought, and this is not achievable except there’s political will on the part of the youths.
“Enlisting Nigeria’s challenges periodically will not take us anywhere else we have resolved to put an end to the vicious circle, however there’s need to strategize in a bid to make our agitation fruitful. This is the loopholes that the emerging youths in political offices should solve. Failure to do so will result to adding to the problem of Nigeria by imitating what the decay the previous elders had done.
“Nigeria as a nation have had enough activists and politicians. We need innovators, economists, technologists, scientists, sound policy makers and more patriotic Nigerian youth to achieve the Nigeria we all desired.

It afterwards called on governments at all levels to ensure economic diversification in a bid to create a friendly environment for direct foreign investment which will make both foreign and local businesses thrive.
“The bedrock of any country’s prosperity lies in its excellent economic performance. The more depressing the economy in a country is, the higher the menace its people will experience. Nigeria government should build a formidable economic policy which will put a decline to the current hardship in a nation.
“The government should diversify the economy and take practical steps at improving our foreign exchange . Economic prosperity will come in when there is a deliberate attempt to revive the country’s production capacity such as adequate funding of SMEs, agricultural, technological building, education, and health sector.”
