As criticisms and condemnation continue to trail the presidential ambition of Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, it’s has been confirmed that Emefiele is a card carrying member of the All Progressives Congress.
The Chairman of Ward 6 in the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr Nduka Erikpume, on Sunday, said the CBN governor had registered as an APC member.
When asked whether Emefiele had registered in the APC, Erikpume said, “Yes, he has registered since February 2021. He is our member.”
Senior lawyers, members of the opposition People’s Democratic Party and Nigerians have condemned the presidential aspiration of the apex Bank governor calling on him to immediately resign.
Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Friday evening called on Emefiele to resign or being sacked immediately for picking N100m APC nomination form.
