Young entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ibrahim Quadri has been appointed as Ambassador of Youth Development in the Economic Community of West African States Youth Council, (ECOWAS-YC).

The appointment which is an honorary award, was conveyed to Quadri on Tuesday in a letter signed by the ECOWAS Youth Council President, Ambassador Emmanuel Williams.

The letter partly read, “I am pleased to confirm that the board of the West African (ECOWAS) Youth Council on the recommendation of her young people has appointed you as a ECOWAS YOUTH AMBASSADOR ALSO AS SPECIAL ASSISTANT ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT.

“This appointment is not unconnected with your laudable antecedents of dedication, hard work and diligence in the area of service to humanity and your commendable
works as an advocate and relentless crusader of promoting development for African youths.

“All necessary documents for this diplomatic mission are attached to your appointment.

“We look forward to your express positive impact to the organization and region.”

Quadri is an advocate of education, youth development and social inclusion. He recently gave free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination forms to indigent admission seekers in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.

The entrepreneur is the managing director of Al-Qibad Nigeria limited, a construction company with global headquarters in Ilorin.

Speaking with InsightMedia, University of Ilorin graduate expressed his happiness over the award and appointment, describing it as a “call for more service towards youth advancement.”

“It’s a call for more service towards advancing the course of young persons. It means whatever we’re doing in our immediate environment should be extended to the country and continent at large. It’s indeed a call for more service.”
