Kwara central senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mallam Saliu Mustapha and the House of Representatives candidate for Ilorin East/South federal constituency, Mr Yinka Aluko have brokered peace within the ranks of the party in Ilorin South local government.
The APC in Ilorin South has been having some crisis occasioned by the recently conducted House of Assembly primary in the constituency.
The peace meeting was held at the residence of Aluko on Friday.
Sources told InsightMedia that Mustapha, who is also the Turaki of Ilorin, called on the aggrieved party leaders to give peace a chance as the progress of the party is supreme. He added that e everyone is important to the victory of the party in 2023 general elections.
It was gathered that all House of Assembly aspirants and party leaders agreed to work together at the meeting to deliver Ilorin South for the APC.
Present at the meeting were, Saliu Mustapha, Hon. Yinka Aluko, Alh Raheem Alamayo (Elder), Alh Atanda Alaya (Elder), Alh Kebe (Elder), Akeem Jaji (Party Chairman, Ilorin South LG) and all House of Assembly aspirants and the candidate.
