Voting is a formal expression of preference for a candidate for office or for a proposed resolution of an issue and Osun State is moving closer to 2022 gubernatorial election.
To bring this to context, the National youth council of Nigeria, Osun State chapter has taken its time to sensitize the youth and the people of Osun State on the need to participate in the electoral processes, most especially, to vote on election day.
The NYCN under the leadership of Comrade Abdulazeez Ismail Abiodun moved round some strategic parts of Osogbo, namely Ayetoro, Old Garage, Alekuwodo, Olaiya, Aregbe and Ogo Oluwa to inform the youth that it is their franchise to participate in an electoral processes.
In an interview with InsightMedia, the chairman explained that it was thier duty to inform the youth concerning the election process as Osun governorship election approaches.
Abdulazeez commended the state for its record of peaceful election so far, and urged the youth to exercise their franchise in order to express democracy.
The NYCN Chairman the voter turnout in the next election must increase and everyone must ensure they participate in the process as the fate of Osun State for another four years will be determined on the election.
Ganiyu Saidat Abiodun, a member of the movement also spoke concerning the sensitisation of youths to electoral process.

She urged the youths not to participate in election rigging, thuggery and other vices that may mar the credibility of the election.
She added that “voting is a civic duty of a citizen, exercising franchise and coming out to vote in masses”.
Abiodun encouraged the youths to come out and vote.
