The Ilobu-Asake Development Union has called on security agents to immediately investigate the attack on the country home of the Labour Party candidate, Hon. Lasun Yussuff, in Ilobu.
The Union in a press statement by its National President, Pastor Olufemi Salako, Esq, said the community received the news with shock and disbelief, stating that the attack has a serious implication on the peace of the Ilobu.
The statement partly read, “We received the news of the dastardly attempt on the life of one of the eminent sons of the community Honorable Lasun Yussuf with great shock and disbelief, considering the serious implications of this condemnable act, we enjoin the law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned to unravel the motive and the culprits involved.
“Ilobu-Asake is and has always been a peaceful and peace loving community, and we will not want our treasured peace and tranquillity punctured by any criminal attack on any indigene or resident of our ancient town.

“His Royal Highness Kabiyesi Olatoye Olaniyan the Olobu of Ilobu, encourages all and sundry to continue to carry on their daily chores without fear or apprehension and allow the law enforcement agencies to do their investigations.”
