Gboyega Oyetola Foundation (GOF) today July 11, 2022 concluded training of strategic vote canvassers for the forthcoming election in the state of Osun.

The foundation, which has Prince Felix Awofisayo as its Chairman started with selection of competent individuals as Directors for each of the Senatorial Districts. It also has nine Deputy District Directors for each of the Federal Constituencies while it has Administrative Officers , Women Leaders and Youth leaders in each of the Local Governments in the State of Osun.

The Foundation kicked off its training with the trio of Administration Officers, Youth Leaders and women leaders on June 2, 2022. It was a seminar which was declared open by the Proprietor himself, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola. The Foundation thereafter decided to take the training to each of the nine Federal Constituencies across the State. The Seminars were held in Osogbo. Ila Orangun, Iwo, Ede, Ikirun, Ibokun, Ile-Ife, Ilesa and was concluded at Ikire.

All together, Gboyega Oyetola Foundation has been able to train more than 757 Vote Canvassers up to the ward level. These trainees were equipped to train canvassers at the 3,773 area units all across the state.

The Foundation lives on donations from friends and associates of the Governor and its first major assignment was to ensure the re-election of Governor Gboyega Oyetola on July 16, 2022.

The Chairman said “So far, all the stakeholders are very passionate about the assignment and acting towards the same goal of a successful election in favor of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

“What makes the strategy of Gboyega Oyetola Foundation unique is the focus on reluctant voters. It was discovered that in 2018, INEC announced that about 1,600,000 had voters cards but only less than 700,000 actually voted for all the candidates. The remaining 900,000 voters plus are the targets of Gboyega Oyetola Foundation. Moreover, the new voter’s register was said to be about 1,900,000.

“At the end of the voting exercise on Saturday July 16, GOF has high expectations that it’s efforts will make victory easy for Mr. Gboyega Oyetola”, he added.
