The Asiwaju of Ikirun land, Chief Gazal Lawal has called on residents of Ifelodun local government and Osun electorates in general to ensure that they conduct themselves peacefully during the Osun governorship election.
The Asiwaju made this call on Wednesday in a press statement obtained by InsightMedia in Osogbo, the State capital.
The statement partly read, “My good people of Ifelodun Local Government Area (Ikirun in particular), as the Governorship election in Osun State is scheduled to hold on July 16, 2022 is drawing near, I wish to use this opportunity to appeal to you to ensure a peaceful and conducive environment before, during and after the election. Your civic responsibility must be exercised peacefully.
“I therefore plead that the conduct of the election should be devoid of violence and any form of molestation.
“I also wish to assure you that adequate security will be provided to ensure a peaceful conduct of the election.
“I urge all of you to troup out on Saturday to vote for the candidate capable of steering the ship of our state”.
