Real Madrid player, David Alaba, has donated a biodegradable toilet facility to Kara Market in Ogere Remo community of Ogun State.
The project which is valued N13.3m was presented to the community by Nigerians on Diaspora Commission on behalf of the player.
This was revealed by Nigerians in Diaspora Commission on Saturday via its Twitter handle.
Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Hussein Adamu, inaugurated the modern biodegradable toilet.
NIDCOM shared pictures from the commissioning on Twitter handle saying, “HMWR, HE #SHadamufnse commissioned an ultramodern biodegradable toilet facility donated by #David_Alaba of(#realmadriden) through his foundation, in collaboration with #nidcom_gov & #OPSWASH1 at Kara Market, Ogere Remo, Ogun State to support FGN’s move to end open defecation.”
Alaba, who represents Austria at the national level, has been traced to be of Nigerian origin. His father is from Ogun State.
