Despite heavy downpour, youths of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State on Thursday embarked on solidarity rally to express support for the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
The youths, who had gathered as early as 8am at Ayetoro junction, defied the downpour to embarked on the over 6km walk in Osogbo, the State capital.
The move from Ayetoro junction through Igbona, Ajegunle, Old Garage, Olaiya, Aregbe before terminating it at the Campaign office of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola at Ogo-Oluwa area of the metropolis.
Addressing the youths, Governor Oyetola said the APC presidential candidate only wants to serve the people of Nigeria, noting that Tinubu has achieved all he wanted in his personal life.
“Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has achieved everything he wanted to achieve in his personal life. He has done greatly for himself, he’s only interested in serving the country (Nigeria) and its people.
“I want to assure you that Asiwaju’s government will be government of the youths as you will take front seats in his government.”
The governor expressed his happiness over the turnout of the young people, which he described as “impressive”.
Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Osun State, Prince Gboyega Famodun commended the youth wing of the party for the rally. He said the Party in Osun State is set to ensure that it deliver to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Osun APC Youth Leader, Goke Akinwemimo said the youth in Osun State are ready to work for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu come 2023.
