Manchester United have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the squad that will travel to London for Chelsea encounter.

Ronaldo angrily left the bench at 89th minute on Wednesday during Man United victory against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

He left before the final whistle as he was an unused substitute, even though United Manager, Erik ten Hag had just made three of five substitutions allowed.

United statement on Thursday said the Five-time Ballon d’Or winner will not be part of the squad as part of disciplinary measures.

Official Man United statement on Cristiano Ronaldo reads, “Cristiano will not be part of the Man United team for this Saturday’s game against Chelsea. Rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture”.

Ten Hag told newsmen after the match that he will “deal with the matter” later.

Over the weekend, Ronaldo had also showed his displeasure at being substituted during Sunday’s 0-0 home draw with Newcastle.
