Governor of Osun State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the last governorship election, Adegboyega Oyetola has again reiterated his confidence that he will “reclaim his mandate” at the court.
Oyetola gave the assurance in Osogbo on Tuesday while addressing with members of the APC who trooped out en masse to walk for the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
The 9.2km walk started from the Government House at Oke-Fia to Alekunwodo down to Olaiya, Odi-Olowo, Jaleoyemi, Ojo-Oba, Station Road, Old Garage, Ajegunle, Igbona before it was terminated at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park.
Oyetola, who led the walk, told party faithful that APC remains the Party to beat in Osun and in Nigeria as a whole. He said Asiwaju Bola Tinubu remains the candidate to beat come February 2023 presidential election.
The Governor said, “with this crowd, it shows that our Party is still the Party to beat in Osun. Asiwaju remains the candidate to beat in the presidential candidate. Let me give you more assurances that I’ll reclaim my mandate in court. I’m so confident of that. I’ll reclaim my mandate.”
Speaking on Tinubu’s competence, Oyetola said Asiwaju has the unique ability to identify problems and provide lasting solution to it.
“In Lagos, when they had issues with unregistered car numbers, he created lastma, lastma made sure that those that drive recklessly faced the law, areas with bad roads were repaired. He also created high way manager, also LAWMA to dispose waste properly to have a clean environment. That’s Tinubu for you.”
