National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has awarded Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board for what it called its excellent outing in the 2022 Hajj exercise.
The award took place on Thursday in Abuja at the 2022 Post Hajj Stakeholders’ Meeting organised by NAHCON.
NAHCON said award was presented to the Board in recognition of its ‘Outstanding Performance in Constitution of State’s Committees During 2022 Hajj Exercise.’
The award was received by the state chairman Dr. Abdulkadir Sambaki who was accompanied by the executive Secretary, Barrister AbdulGaniy Ishola Ahmed, and Hajia Taibat Abdul Hamid, the chief accountant of the Board respectively.
Speaking on behalf of the Board, Sambaki expressed his profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for the achievement, which he said was not only a pride to the members and staff of the Board but to Kwarans at large.
Sambaki dedicated the award to Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq for his immense support and for creating an enabling environment for the Board during the Hajj operations.
He equally thanked the Amirul Hajj for 2022 Hajj, Dr. AWA Ibrahim Akewushola, for his guidance and contributions to the huge success recorded by the Board in the last exercise.
In June, Kwara airlifted about 1,500 pilgrims to Hajj hitch-free.
