The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali, has directed the Commissioner of Police, Osun State, Olaleye Faleye, to investigate the alleged assault on woman Inspector Olorunsogo Bamidele by her Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) in Ode Omu, Osun State.
Disclosing the IGP’s order in s statement on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said that necessary action would follow the report on the investigation being awaited from Osun State Police Command by the IGP.
The IGP gave the general public an assurance that justice would be done on the case to protect the core values and ethics of the police force.
In the meantime, CP Olaleye has commenced discreet investigation into the unprofessional act that occurred in Odeomu division.
Police Public Relations Officer in Osun State, Yemisi Opalola said the CP has interviewed all the parties involved and a discreet investigation has been launched in the incident.
