The National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) is set to host 2022 Global Science, Technology and Innovation Community Conference (G-STIC) at it’s headquarters, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Isaac Oluyi, Public Relations Office said NACETEM is an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation in a Press Statement release to the public on Thursday, the conference will held between 7th and 8th December, 2022 by 10am daily.
Oluyi added that the theme of the conference is “Science, Technology and Innovation: Pathways to Energy Sustainability in Nigeria”, there aims is solving the energy crisis across the globe.
“Solving the energy crisis is one of the most essential undertakings of the 21st century. Perfect solutions will be hard to come by, due not only to drastic differences in political and public support for sustainable energy throughout the world, but the extensive knowledge required to address the many challenges associated with the global energy landscape”.
“As a knowledge support institution that is constantly in search of lasting science, technology and innovation (STI) solutions to challenges in all sectors of the economy, NACETEM has decided to beam its searchlight on the energy sector at the 2022 G-STIC conference” He said.
Oluyi also added that, the conference will be livestreamed on all NACETEM digital platforms, ensuring participants enjoy a great interactive experience with all our speakers and panelists drawn from within and outside Nigeria.
“The Agency will connect policymakers, academics and practitioners at the conference with a view to coming up with market-ready technological solutions that will help achieve sustainable development, particularly within the energy space”.
“This Nigerian version of G-STIC conference is preparatory to the main event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2023. It will focus, among others, on knowledge and technologies that are crucial to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly issues such as renewable energy, circular economy, green environment, among others” He added.
“There will be exhibitions of breakthroughs and innovations in the circular economy space and the energy industry” He concluded.
