Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has debunked report suggesting that he will be declaring presidential ambition after the convention of the All Progressives Congress later this month.
A section of the media has reported that all is set for the Vice President to declare his interest in the nation’s topmost job shortly after the convention.
Speaking through his Media Assistant, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo described the story as false, stating that he’s only concentrated on the present assignment.
Akande said, “I’ve seen “news” that VP ‘ll announce presidential bid after APC’s convention. Anyone reading the story ‘ll know it’s all false &speculative snippets. Any information on activities & actions of the VP will come directly from his office & not sponsored speculations in the press…
“The VP continues focusing all his attention on the work of this administration and on supporting Mr. President in every possible way. Please continue to ignore the speculations.”
