The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun State, Dr. Mutiu Agboke has expressed his commitment to support the VoteNotFight campaign in the State.

Agboke, while receiving the VoteNotFight team who paid advocacy visit to him at his office on Friday in Osogbo, promised to not only support the campaign and also made himself available for the proposed visits to some critical stakeholders in the State.

He said he would be available to join the team to advocacy visits to National Union of Road Transport Workers and Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria.

“He said Independent National Electoral Commission must not shut door at this type of campaign as it’s geared towards a peaceful and transparent Electoral process.”

Agboke lauded VotenotFight team said, the campaign is very important and urged them to reach out to the root of the election, the politician and most especially the youth.

“The way you carry yourself is very important, for you not to be tag as a politician, they always want to see you, do you also see them or party with them” he said.

Agboke added that the campaign should concentrate more to Ilesa axis, gone are the days where people fight to win election, with the help of BVAS technology, you don’t need to fight because it has it record on it.

Earlier in his address, Team Lead of VoteNotFight in Osun and Executive Director of Insight Initiative for Community and Social Development, Jare Tiamiyu said the visit is to sensitized the people, most especially the youth which are the tools for the politician.
