Following the crisis rocking the Nation as we battled from fuel crises to naira scarcity, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Osun State Chapter under the leadership of Comrade Abdulazeez Ismail Abiodun has called on the federal government of Nigeria to find lasting solutions to the problem facing the country.

This was disclosed in a statement released by the Youth Council on Thursday, through its Public Relations Officer, Com. Adetunji Ajala.

The statement reads: “Many small and medium-scale businesses which the youth depended on have been closed since the skyrocket challenges bedeviling the country. Many of our youth can no longer bear the pressure again and urgent action needs to be taken as the general election is fast approaching. If this suffering is not urgently addressed, might lead to voter Apathy as well which is not good for our democracy”.

“The federal government shouldn’t wait until the whole Nation is burnt down, as some States had already begun protests which have led to disruption of daily activities and vandalization of banks in some states”.

The NYCN OSUN urged the State Government as led by Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to also make an effort to ease the pressure on the good people of Osun State before they turn the love they have for him down.

“We never want to witness the case of #Endsars in Osun State again where innocent people’s properties were attacked alongside the Governor with many lives affected”.

“With the space of hunger and hardship the people are passing through if no urgent action is taken it may lead to robbery and disruption of peace by the idle and pressured youths”.

“However, it is important to inform the people of Osun State that the National headquarter of the youth Council had already called for a National warning protest but we in good faith believe to sustain the peace in our State taught to act this way of ‘jaw jaw’ as a means to avoid innocent people being attacked”.

In the concluding statement, they appealed to philanthropists, big business owners, companies, and royal fathers to help in one way or the other to ameliorate the challenges small business owners are facing while the federal government finds lasting solutions to the rising challenges in order to have a free, fair, credible, all inclusive and conclusive general election.
