President Muhammadu Buhari expressed his concern regarding the performance of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the recently concluded presidential and National Assembly elections in Kaduna State. In a viral video in Hausa, he apologized to Nigerians for the cash crunch caused by the naira redesign policy, clarifying that it was not intended to cause hardship but rather to improve the economy. Additionally, he urged the people of Kaduna State to vote for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Uba Sani, along with all APC candidates for the House of Assembly.
President Buhari further emphasized the competence and capacity of Uba Sani, with whom he had worked in the Senate. He pleaded with the people of Kaduna State to support Uba Sani and all APC candidates for the State Assembly, highlighting that Kaduna State is home to him.
Meanwhile, there are ongoing plans for an alliance between the opposition PDP and the Labour Party to take over power in Kaduna State. The chairman of PDP in Kaduna State, Felix Hassan Hyet, has called on the people to unite and vote for the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Isa Ashiru, to rescue the state from the APC government.
