Dr. Femi Atilade Oshoniyi, a supporter of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, has called on the electorate to vote for the incumbent governor for sustainable development. In an interview with SEYE OLUMIDE, Dr. Oshoniyi urged the electorate to eschew bitterness and sentiments and vote for Governor Sanwo-Olu.

When asked if Governor Sanwo-Olu could change the pattern of voting in the last election in Lagos, to defeat Labour and PDP candidates, Dr. Oshoniyi expressed confidence that the incumbent governor would win convincingly. He added that what the APC family experienced in Lagos State during the Presidential and National Assembly elections was good for democracy, as it indicated growth and the need for inclusion with sincerity and commitment to the masses.

According to Dr. Oshoniyi, the youths are not bitter with the governor but unforgiving of the way the government managed the circumstances surrounding the 2020 EndSARS crisis. He urged politicians to respect the power and influence of the youth and called on all residents and traders in Lagos State to forgive Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for any grievances or situations surrounding the sensitivity of the 2020 EndSARS crisis.

Dr. Oshoniyi believes that Governor Sanwo-Olu is someone full of empathy, performing well with a great vision to continue the development of the state. He urged the party to make deliberate policies to help the youths, appease them, and also empower them. He also emphasized the need to separate politics from individuals and vote for Sanwo-Olu on the merit of an individual and as a performing governor.

Dr. Oshoniyi further stated that Governor Sanwo-Olu deserves a second term, as he didn’t abandon the projects of his predecessors. He called for deliberate policies to enlighten the youth and douse the consequences of the EndSARS bitterness and continue to show empathy to affected families.

Dr. Oshoniyi urged the electorate to vote for Governor Sanwo-Olu for sustainable development in Lagos State.
