…As Emi-Kola Afolabi foundation distributes food items

The founders of a Non-governmental organisation, Emi Kola Afolabi foundation, Prince James and Mrs Lucy Afolabi have called on Nigerians and other non-governmental organizations to ensure unity of Nigeria, stating that political period has gone and the time for rebuilding and togetherness has come.

The duo made the call on Monday when their foundation distributed food items to 21 orphanages, correctional centers and schools of special needs in Osun State.

James Afolabi, who believes in the power of a united State, urged individuals that for the growth of a State, everyone must imbibe the virtue of togetherness and not to be politically or religiously driven .

“Political period has come and gone, other NGOs should imbibe the spirit of unity, learn not be biased politically or religious wise, everyone needs to come together to help the needy ones in the society, so there can be growth and development in the State”.

Speaking on the motivation behind the disturbution of food items to the foundations, Mrs Lucy Afolabi said “We know how the economy is now, cash crunch, inflation of food prices, no money, no food, poverty on the rise, so we felt the need to assist these people”.

“We also urge other NGOs and bodies to also come out to assist the needy ones in the society “, she asserted.

The beneficiaries also expressed gratitude to the duo, stating that this was not the first time, the foundation has blessed them. They also commended the efforts of the foundation for being a blessing to them in this pressing time.

Insight Media had earlier reported that in 2022 the foundation had empowered less privilege with incentives, conducted free health checkups to people, in a way to assisting them with better life.
