Education is the key to eliminating inequality and reduction of poverty in the society. This can be said to be the driving force of Governor of the State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke as he commissioned block of three  laboratories and a borehole water in Ode-Omu Community High School, Ayedaade Local Government.
During the commissioning of the project facilitated by Osun Community and Social Development Agency (OSUN CSDA), Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi who represented the Governor on Friday in Ode-Omu, said laboratory is springboard for many science oriented students to find their professional bearings in life.
“One of the problems with science education in Nigeria is poor laboratory facilities, which I believe the project we are commissioning today will be able to solve. I strongly believe that the development of these laboratories will serve as a springboard for many sciences oriented students to find their professional bearings in life” he said.
He implored the Ode-Omu Community Project Management Committee (CPMC) to ensure there is good maintenance and sustainability plan for the project.
“With good maintenance and sustainability, this will ensure longevity of equipment and systems. And as such fewer resources are expended on replacements and repairs”.
“I pray that many more students will develop interests in science subjects, as science is the body of knowledge”.
Prince Adewusi added that Adeleke’s Administration is here to served the people and appreciated Osun CSDA for spreading dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies of the state.
Mrs Funmi Abokede, the General Manager of Osun CSDA congratulated the people of Ode-Omu. She said the commissioning is only possible because of the funding provided by the State government.
“Indeed, our Governor is walking his talk on his Development Agenda to ensure that electoral promises are translated into needed social amenities and development”  Abokede said.
She appreciated Okeyidi Community, Odeomu, Parents and Teachers of Odeomu High School; for their contribution and participation before and during the implementation of the projects.
The Alayegun of Odeomu, Oba James Oladipupo Idi-Asa 1, appreciated the State Govt for remembering his Community with this kind of opportunity and promised that the project is would be maintained.
President  Odeomu High School Old Students Association, Aare Sunday Omilani also appreciates the State Govt.  for the opportunity of this programme.
