Thai authorities have made a gruesome discovery as they found the dismembered body of a missing German businessman, Hans-Peter Mack, in a freezer. The search for Mack, 62, ended tragically when his remains were located in a garbage bag at a rented house in Nong Prue, a city in southern Thailand. Two German suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.

Mack, a property broker residing in Pattaya with his Thai wife, had been missing since July 4. The suspects allegedly conspired to murder Mack and then transported and concealed his body. Mack’s family had offered a reward of 3 million baht for information on his whereabouts.

The investigation took a significant turn when Mack’s Mercedes sedan was discovered in the parking lot of a condominium in Nong Prue. In addition to the body, authorities found a cordless chainsaw, hedge clippers, and rolls of plastic. Traces of a cleaning solvent were also detected in the car, indicating an apparent attempt to destroy evidence.

Police further revealed that a large sum of money was missing from Mack’s bank account. The breakthrough in locating his remains was made possible through CCTV footage from the area. Mack’s wife, who received suspicious text messages after he failed to show up for a lunch appointment, has denied receiving any texts from him throughout their five-year relationship.
