A drone attack in Moscow has caused damage to two office buildings and led to the brief shutdown of Vnukovo Airport, according to Russia’s defence ministry. The incident, which occurred over the Odintsovo district, resulted in one person being injured. The drones were reportedly neutralized by Russian forces, but two of them crashed into office buildings, causing slight damage to the facades.
Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that several windows were damaged, and debris was scattered on the ground. Flights from Vnukovo Airport were suspended temporarily, with incoming planes redirected to other airports.
Russia has accused Ukraine of being behind the drone attack, but Ukrainian officials have not acknowledged any involvement. Moscow has previously blamed Kyiv for a series of drone strikes on its territory, with the latest incident being part of the ongoing tensions between the two countries during the Russia-Ukraine war.
