After the reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City opened the 2023-2024 Premier League season with a 3-0 win over Burnley, the new season has recorded four more victorious already.

Earlier today, Arsenal played their opening game of the new season against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium, and the Gunners, who ended last season as second runner-up, beat their visitors 2-1.

Afterwards, five games were played simultaneously at 15:00, and three of the games ended in victories, while two ended in draws.

The game between Sheffield United and Crystal Palace at Bramall Lane ended 1-0 in favour of Palace courtesy of a 49th-minute goal from Odsonne Édouard.

At Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth drew 1-1 with West Ham United. Dominic Solanke scored for Bournemouth in the 82nd minute, while Jarrod Bowen scored for West Ham in the 51st minute.

Brighton continued from where they stopped last season as they became the highest-scoring team in the 2023-2024 Premier League Match-Week one so far. They hosted newly promoted Luton Town at the Falmer Stadium and thrashed them 4-1.

While at Goodison Park, Everton had the worst possible start to the 2023-2024 Premier League season by disappointing their home fans with a narrow defeat.

After playing a barren draw in the first 45 minutes against Fulham, Everton failed to maintain that same momentum in the second half as Jamaica’s Bobby De Cordova-Reid scored in the 73rd minute to gift Fulham a 1-0 win.

Pending the outcome of other Match-Week one games, Brighton are currently topping the 2023-2024 Premier League table thanks to superior goals difference from second-placed Manchester City and third-placed Arsenal
