…charges staff to improve on the agency’s achievements

The management and staff of Osun Health Insurance Agency (OSHIA) have been charged to create more room for improvement on the achievements of the scheme.

This charge was given by the newly appointed OSHIA Governing Board Chairman, Dr (Hon.) Muyiwa Oladimeji in his maiden address to the entire staff of OSHIA held at the Agency’s Conference Room as he resumes office.
Dr. Oladimeji stated that there are ideas, opportunities which can add values to the state health insurance scheme that have not been tapped, stressing that he has come to the Agency not as a boss, but to learn and also contribute his own quota for the progress and improvement of the scheme.

While describing the scheme as a very laudable health policy of government, he promised to apply the wealth of experience he has gathered over the years from countries like Mexico, England, Wales as well as the United States of America to bring considerable improvement to the scheme in Osun noting that the scheme works perfectly in those countries.

“Since my appointment as OSHIA Chairman, I have kept myself abreast of the scheme by reading about its operations. I am optimistic that we can make the scheme work in Nigeria and Osun state in particular”. Dr. Oladimeji asserted.

The Executive Secretary (ES) of OSHIA, Dr. Adeniyi Oginni had earlier welcomed the Board Chairman to the Agency on behalf of the entire staff.

Dr Oginni described the new Chairman as a man with vast experience in medical profession, noting that he is highly principled and with a fatherly figure, adding that his appointment as OSHIA Chairman is a divine assignment, which will surely add more values to the scheme.

Dr Oginni therefore assured the Chairman of the cooperation of the management and staff of the Agency to expand the scope of OHIS in the state and move it forward.

Special prayers were offered by Venerables S.C.O Iyiola and S.S Saba who accompanied the Chairman to the Agency. The duo clergymen prayed for the successful tenure of Dr. Oladimeji as Chairman and for the progress, protection and unity of the Agency.

They both enjoined all the members of staff irrespective of their religion, to always pray for the Chairman and the ES for divine guidance and quality leadership.
