The Osun State House of Assembly has announced the names of lawmakers who will chair the House Committees in the 8th Assembly, same as the deputies and members.
The Speaker made this announcement at the House plenary on Tuesday in Osogbo.
He said “The composition of the committees is in line with house standing rules which provide for the establishment of standing committees to carry out the oversight function on government agencies and programmes and address specific issues of public importance in the State”.
Some of the lawmakers who made the list as chairpersons of committee are: Hon. Kofoworola Babajide Adewunmi (Statutory/Standing Committee), Hon. Fatunmise Olumide Saheed (Finance & Appropriation), Hon. Lawal Bamidele Rasheed (Public Account), Hon. Ogundare Folorunsho (Environmental and Sanitation), Hon. Olatubosun Oladiran Oyewole (Agriculture & Food Security),
“Hon. Araoye Sanmi Ebenezer (Commerce, Industry, Cooperative and Empowerment), Hon. Abolarin Kasope Ajibade (Health), Hon. Olayiwola Taofeeq Olalekan ( Industrial Relation, Human Resources and Capital Building), Hon. Oladimeji Adekunle Emmanuel (Media and Public Affairs), Hon. Adeoti Lawrence Olalekan (Lands, Physical Planning & Urban Development).

However, he charged them to carry out their legislative assignments in accordance with the rule of law for the growth and betterment of Osun State.
