The Chief Immam of Oduwoye Mosque, Ustaz Lukman Owoyemi has revealed that the need to give Muslims kids in Osogbo and Osun State opportunity to have quality basic education that includes Qur’an memorization is the motive behind setting up of AL-AQSO International College, Osogbo.

The revered Muslim scholar said this on Tuesday during the official commissioning of AL-AQSO International College.

Ustaz Owoyemi who is also the founder of Faozu-Najat schools and Ummul-qura Islamic Schools said that Muslim parents have lamenting the poor standard of education or learning facilities obtained in some schools within the State, hence the need to set a modern one to fill the gap.

He said, “Modern schools in Osun State are not Muslim school and this has become a challenge. We’re setting up this to provide an opportunity for parents and guardians looking for Standard Muslim school for their wards.”

Speaking further the Imam added the school is a full package as it will have qualified, competent and determined teachers with a Library, ICT computer room and other facilities that will make learning easier for kids.

“Our aims and objective for AL-AQSO International College is to give standard western education, standard Islamic education and Quran memorialization in a conducive environment. With the help of Almighty Allah, we’re planning to have branches across the State with boarding facilities.”

The guest lecturer, Ustaz Jamiu Alimi, during his presentation, gave insight of a standard school that AL-AQSO will be operating on.

The Islamic preacher said, “Standard school is one that give standard education in a conducive environment with the necessary facilities including teachers, with all these criteria, students, pupils are ready to learn” He said.

Ustaz Alimi implored parents to register their wards because their normal excuse that no standard Muslim school is gone and they never regret enrolling their wards in AL-AQSO International College.

Several dignitaries including scholars, academics and parents were present at the commissioning held at the school premises located at Obelawo area of Osogbo.

The school will commence admission process and it is set to kick of academic activities in September.
