It was a glamorous event full of fanfare, excitement as the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a mini programme to mark the 69th birthday of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola,

The event, which took place at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office in Osogbo on a Friday, drew participation from a diverse stakeholders of the party across the State.

The Former Governor, who was in Abuja, addressed the Party faithful from virtually. He appreciated the members for their love and commitment, and for celebrating his first birthday as a Minister of the Federation.

The presence of Former Speaker of The House of Assembly, Hon Timothy Owoeye, added significance to the occasion as he voiced heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God over Oyetola’s continued existence.

Owoeye said, “We extend our profound thanks to the Almighty for allowing Oyetola to reach this remarkable milestone of 69 years. This is the reason we have come here to celebrate this special day with him. Oyetola is not only an exemplary leader but also a man of extraordinary character. With his appointment as Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, we have immense confidence in his ability to excel, owing to his exceptional talents. Today, we honor a truly outstanding leader.

“This gathering also serves to underscore our unity within the APC,” Owoeye emphasized.

“We are resolutely focused on the 2026 elections, with everyone fully engaged and committed.”

Hon Isreal Famurewa, for House of Representatives member joined the chorus of accolades, commending Oyetola for both his appointment and his 69th birthday. He described the minister as an intellectually gifted individual worthy of recognition. Famurewa extended his well-wishes for Oyetola’s appointment and offered prayers for his well-being.

Party loyalists echoed their elation and expressed their felicitations while invoking blessings on behalf of the former Osun Governor. They fervently wished him success in his new role, foreseeing a bright future for their esteemed leader.

Oyetola was born on September 29th, 1954.
