The Fountain of Life Church announced during their Sunday service that Jimmy Odukoya, son of the late Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya, will be its new senior pastor. This decision was made in alignment with the late Taiwo Odukoya’s wishes shared with the board of trustees (BoT). Pastor Rotimi Okpaise confirmed that the BoT unanimously elected Jimmy both as the senior pastor and the chairperson of the board. His official installation is set for September 30, 2023.
Taiwo Odukoya, the church’s founder, passed away in the USA on August 7 at the age of 67. He faced the tragic loss of his wife, Nomthi, in 2021 after her battle with cancer. Before Nomthi, Taiwo was married to Bimbo, who tragically died in the 2005 Sosoliso plane crash.
Jimmy, besides his pastoral lineage, is a well-known figure in the entertainment world. He’s both a Nollywood actor, known for roles in movies like Netflix’s ‘Woman King’, and a motivational speaker.
