Prominent son of Osogbo, Mr Kunle Buraimoh has launched a foundation dedicated to fighting poverty at the grassroots through quality education.

The platform, christened Kunle Buraimoh Foundation, was launched in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Saturday.

The event was attended by the Ataoja of Osogbo land, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, who came along with other notable individuals from the state, including Baales and Chiefs from Osogbo.

In his address, Chief Jimoh Buraimoh expressed gratitude to God and everyone dignitary present.

He said, “Glory to God for making this opportunity available, for allowing Kunle Buraimoh to host this programme. When he told me he wanted to begin the programme, I was so excited because this is one of my dreams. I pray that he will be strengthened to continue with the foundation and to bring his dreams to reality. By the grace of God, as we move on, we will also contribute and give our support. I thank everyone we invited, especially Professor Yahyah, for deeming it fit to attend the meeting. I say a big thank you to our pastor and Ataoja of Osogbo. Thank you for coming. God will continually be your support.”

Kunle Buraimoh, speaking to InsightLinks TV, explain that the foundation is a child of necessity to bridge the gap observed in the education sector and to holistically fight poverty in the society.

He said, “Our children are our future. A nation that neglects its education risks collapse. With the decline in public education, many are forced into unaffordable private schools. We must tackle this to reduce poverty.”

The Founder said the Foundation will work with relevant stakeholders to achieve its dream of better and improved education for the students and in extension, the community.

The beneficiary, Mrs. Victoria Arinola Isaiah, the principal of St. Marks Primary School, while speaking with Insight Links TV, expressed her gratitude.

“Words are not enough to express my joy and gratitude today, the fact that I am the first beneficiary of this good thing that is starting today. I am so delighted, filled with joy and enthusiasm, that something good has started in my school.

She advised those who have passed through the school.

“My advice is that the essence of life is how you can impact a life; we need more of them in a country like this if our country will move forward.”

In his address, the keynote speaker, Professor Waheed Tunde Yahya, praised the initiative, described Kunle Buraimoh as a man who has an heart of giving and awkward ready to yr

“Not every successful or privileged person cultivates the act of giving back to his/her society, rhys, it takes only a heart full of the milk of kindness to have the urge to give back to the society he/she lives in.”
