The Media Office of the Honourable Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has released a statement confirming that the Speaker and his team are safe and unharmed following a vehicle incident on Sunday, 24th September, 2023.
Contrary to reports, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun was not directly involved in the incident. The incident occurred with the Speaker’s backup vehicle, which was transporting some of his Security Aides. The vehicle experienced a mechanical problem, resulting in the accident.
Fortunately, all the individuals involved, including the Speaker’s Security Aides, have undergone thorough medical checks and are reported to be in good health.
The statement expressed the Speaker’s gratitude to those who showed concern and reached out to him during this period. Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun reaffirmed his commitment to his duties as Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, promising to lead the 8th Assembly towards significant accomplishments that will contribute positively to the history of the state.
