Actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed her disappointment with the authorities for not releasing the autopsy results within the stipulated two-week timeframe set by the commissioner of police.

Alongside the Justice for MohBad group, led by Iyabo Ojo, demonstrators gathered at the House of Assembly on September 20, seeking justice for the late singer.

Their efforts also included a meeting with Lagos state commissioner of police, Idowu Owohunwa, who implicated Naira Marley and Sam Larry in MohBad’s death and hinted at video evidence.

In an excerpt shared by Ojo on October 4, the police asked for 14 days to complete a thorough investigation and provide the autopsy results.

The CP said: “With this approach, we can be sure that we will reach a conclusive end. It can’t be an open-ended thing. And I was confident of the progress we could make between the next two weeks. That was why I said the interim report should be ready before two weeks and I still stand by that.

“So in two weeks, I should be able to gather all of us and say, ‘This is where we are. This is the progress we’ve made.”

At that point, Ojo retorted: “So we’re coming back here in two weeks? We are coming back here in two weeks” to which her team chorused, ‘Yes.’

“By then the autopsy would have been done. Maybe the results would have been out. And maybe they would have arrested or declared wanted or even extradited some people.”

Then the police boss stated, “Sure, you’ll be welcomed.”

With the two-week investigation window expiring, the mother of two on behalf of ‘Nigerians’ has demanded an update from the police regarding their inquiry into Mohbad’s controversial passing.

She reiterated the need for justice not just for the deceased singer and the embattled DJ Splash but also for the generality of the Nigerian children.

She captioned the clip: “Good morning sir, today is exactly 2 weeks. You asked us to give you, you said in your own words that you will get back to us in 2 weeks’ time to update us on the ongoing investigation of Mohbad’s case (Imole) …….. Sir, the whole world awaits to hear from you, sir ……….. thank you.

“@benjaminhundeyin @nigeriapoliceforce we are waiting. #JusticeForMohbad #Justicefordjsplash #justiceforourchildren.”
