Osogbo, Osun State – In a bid to celebrate digital excellence, the Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) proudly announces the commencement of the maiden Osun Digital Media Week 2023. This week-long event, scheduled to take place from December 18 to December 20, 2023, will not only celebrate digital achievements but also delve into a critical global issue – climate change, under the theme ‘DIGITAL MEDIA & CLIMATE CHANGE: The Nexus’.
A significant highlight of the event is the presentation of awards to outstanding individuals and corporate brands who have made remarkable contributions to the development of Osun State. These awards aim to recognize and encourage continued efforts for the progress of the state.
The award nominees, carefully selected based on their exceptional track records, will undergo a transparent online voting process.
The general public is invited to participate in the voting process, which will take place from Monday, November 27, to December 11, 2023. The winners, determined by the highest number of votes in each category, will be honored at the awards ceremony.
Jare Tiamiyu, Chairman of OOPA, emphasized the importance of public participation in supporting and recognizing the outstanding individuals and brands that have contributed significantly to various fields in Osun State.
Special awards of recognition will also be presented to individuals who have served the state and its people, as well as those who have played pivotal roles in supporting the development of the association.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at Ben-Ber Hall beside Reginal Suite, Ring Road, Osogbo, on December 20, 2023. Further details about the Osun Digital Media Week 2023 will be unveiled during a press briefing on December 18, 2023.
