Organisers of the Osun Facebook Hangout has revealed that this year’s edition will be more exciting as it will showcase the rich cultural and tourism potentials of Osun State.
Chairperson of the Organising committee, Mutiat Adewale-Oyediran at a press conference held in Osogbo on Wednesday stated that the upcoming event scheduled for December 17th, 2023, at GMT Hotels and Garden in Osogbo, will be a pleasant and memorable experience.
According to the chairperson, the primary objective of the Osun Facebook Hangout 2023 is to leverage the power of social media, particularly Facebook, to promote the state of Osun as a tourist destination, foster community engagement, and encourage economic growth.
Adewale-Oyediran said, “In terms of tourism promotion, the event aims to showcase the hidden gems of Osun, including its natural wonders, historical sites, and cultural heritage. Through engaging content, live videos, and interactive discussions, the event seeks to attract both local and international tourists, enticing them to experience the beauty of Osun firsthand.
“Additionally, the Osun Facebook Hangout 2023 aims to foster community engagement by creating a sense of unity and pride among the residents of Osun. By providing a platform for individuals to share their stories, experiences, and talents, the event strengthens the bond within the community. Furthermore, it allows the residents to voice their concerns, suggestions, and aspirations for the development of the state.”
The organisers also revealed that the event will create avenue for entrepreneurs to showcase their products, connect with prospective buyers and create connections.
