Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has noted that there is no improvement at Chelsea despite all the efforts made by the club’s owners to bring changes.

Chelsea have spent over £1 billion on transfer and loan fees since Todd Boehly took over at Stamford Bridge last year.

The signing of Cole Palmer from Manchester City on transfer deadline day took Chelsea past the £1bn mark.

Chelsea finished in the bottom half of the Premier League last season and while many thought that the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino would change the story, the west London side are currently 11th in the table.

Within one week, the Blues conceded 8 goals in two games, 4-0 to Liverpool in midweek followed by 4-2 loss to Wolves on Sunday afternoon.

And Wright, a Premier League legend, noted that there are no changes or improvements within the club structurally and individually.

“Chelsea are not organised at the back. The midfield, they are all over the place, up front, we see Jackson came on, he had another chance, he couldn’t take it,” he said on Premier League Productions.

“It just seems to me like a place no one is improving. Nothing is improving whether it is structurally or individually, nothing is improving at Chelsea. It seems quite dire to me.”
