Alhaja Sherifat Aregbesola, the wife of former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has called on well meaning Nigerians to support the less privileged in their communities in order to put smiles on their faces.

Mrs Aregbesola said this when her Non Governmental Organization Sheri- Care foundation, distributed palliative items and money as part of the NGO Welfare Programme to residents of Ilesha East local government area of Osun State.

The palliatives is to cushion the hardship currently experienced by people in the country.

The programme which took place at Bolorunduro Amuta area of Ilesha East local government features various beneficiaries from Ilesa and its environs who were highly elated with the kind gesture from the NGO.

Speaking during the welfare programme, the President and initiator of the Non- governmental organization, Mrs. Sherifat Aregbesola noted that the aims and objectives of the foundation is to make life better for the aged, widows and less privileged in the society, saying it has no political affiliation.

The Initiator of the foundation used the medium to urge the beneficiaries to cast their anxieties and worries upon God especially during this trying time of economic hardship.

She further explained that, the foundation decided to put the programme together because of present economic situation in the country, charging well meaning Nigerians not to leave the care of the people to government alone.

The President of Sheri- Care foundation who disclosed that the welfare programme which kickoff in Ilesa would also cut across every nooks cranny of Osun State

She added that it was high time for religious bodies, various non governmental organization, and philanthropists in the society to come to the aid of the needy in the society in order to restore their hope of survival in life.

The less privileged, according to Mrs Aregbesola, are God’s own and they must be cared, saying whoever that care for them should be expecting great reward from Almighty Allah.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke during the palliatives distribution programme appreciated Mrs Aregbesola for the kind gesture praying God to continue to bless and protect her and entire family.
