Arsenal remain at the top of the Premier League on goal difference as Liverpool and Manchester City drew a cracking encounter in Anfield.

City opened the scoring with a goal by John Stones but Liverpool, who are the better side throughout the game, won a penalty at the beginning of second half as Ederson fouled Darwin Nunez after a poor backpass by Nathan Ake.

Alexis MacAllister coolly and calmly converted the resulting kick.

Mohammed Salah and Luiz Diaz tried to break the parity but all to no avail as Pep Guardiola side held on to ensure the last Premier League game between him and Jurgen Klopp ended in another draw as it was in November.

Jeremy Doku hit crossbar late on but it all ended in a result that pleases every Arsenal fan across the globe.

The trio of Arsenal, Liverpool and City are now separated by a point, making the title race tougher.
