The Osun State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Mr Ishaq Awotunde as the Auditor-General for Local Government in Osun State.
The Assembly confirmed Awotunde after he was screened on the floor of the House during a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Hon Adewale Egbedun.
Awotunde’s name was forwarded to the House by the Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke for screening and confirmation.
According to his credentials, Awotunde has been at the service of the State government for close to three decades.
He was transferred to the office of the Auditor-General for Local Government in 2013 and has risen to the position of Deputy Auditor-General Operations in 2022.
The Speaker congratulated Awotunde on his appointment, calling on him to put in his best in the service of the State.
Awotunde is a native of Ilobu in Irepodun local government area.
