Osogbo-born contractor, Engr Kehinde Raji has stated that he’ll be assessing the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke after it clocks 18 months.

Raji said this during the weekend when he spoke with Online Publishers in Osogbo, the State capital.

“I’ll not want to assess the incumbent administration of Senator Adeleke until after May 27, when it would have clocked 18 months. By that time, I’ll speak on their performances as I observe. For now, I don’t want to talk about the government.” Raji said.

The Chairman of Aaraj Group was a strong supporter of Adeleke prior to the 2022 governorship election but he fell out with the Governor sometimes in 2023 and they have remained at loggerhead.

Raji has been using his Foundation (Aaraji Empowerment Foundation) to reach out to residents of the State through different Empowerment projects.

“Our foundation, the Aaraj Empowerment Foundation is apolitical and we have thousands of registered members from all local government areas in the state. We have been doing our best to empower the people at the lowest level of economy and we don’t add any political colouration. We do it across party lines.”

He said his foundation released over N150m to boost the state economy to alleviate the suffering of the citizens.

He said that the removal of the subsidy by the Federal Government highly contributed to hike in the price of goods across the country.

“For people who have N50,000 or N100,000 as money for their business, N50,000 now can not buy N15,000 goods before. This is why we have been supporting people with funds for businesses.

“We have given 20 to 30 million naira to nano traders and last month we gave another so it can alleviate their suffering with the business support fund, we gave fresh graduates business owners just to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal.”

He said he will decide who to support for 2026 when the time comes, describing it as his “fundamental rights”.
