Former president of the United States and one of Democrats bigwigs, Barack Obama, on Friday said he would endorse Kamala Harris’ bid for the White House.
In a post on his X handle, Obama said he, alongside his wife, Michelle, threw their support behind Kamala Harris, adding that she would make good President for the United States
“Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend Kamala Harris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support,” Obama said on X platform.
Obama withheld his endorsement when he congratulated outgoing President Joe Biden over his decision to step down from the race and anoint Harris.
The coast is now clear for Harris to clinch the nomination of her Party in the forthcoming Congress.
