Candidates vying for chairmanship and councillorship positions under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the upcoming Osun state local government election have collected their intention forms.
The Osun Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) set the deadline for form collection and submission for August 24th, 2024.
At the OSIEC headquarters in Osogbo, NNPP chairman Dr. Tosin Odeyemi praised the commissioners for their organization and hospitality.
He noted that the welcoming atmosphere at OSIEC indicates the commission’s readiness for the task ahead.
Odeyemi, received by the commission’s secretary, urged the electoral body to maintain its current path, emphasizing its potential to bring desired change to Osun people.
He assured that NNPP will fiercely compete with the ruling PDP in the February 2025 local government poll, gearing up for the 2026 gubernatorial election in the state.
